As you are all aware, we have entered some challenging times in our
daily life. The effects of this virus have touched everyone, including the golf industry. The board is concerned, but also wants to be in the best possible position to open when the government allows it.

So, what is happening today at Dufferin Heights,
– Your board of directors are communicating with each other on a regular basis and monitoring the events closely.

– We are following all government direction and regulations to ensure we comply with any course activity.
– In the next few days, Dufferin will be starting our “early season” course maintenance to be ready when our opening date arrives.
– The clubhouse is closed until further notice. Please do not visit the course or clubhouse for any reason.
– Our clubhouse manager, Eric Taylor, will be available by phone for all inquiries.
– We are concerned about all of our staff. The employees, allowed by the government to return to work on a limited basis (course staff only), will be following the proposed health guidelines. Most important, enhanced cleaning and hygiene protocol will also be mandatory for these employees working on site.
– We will ensure all government programs which can assist our staff, not yet recalled to work, is communicated to them.

When will the course open? Well in 2019 the course opened on May 7th, so we still have 6 weeks to see how the province recommends returning to “ business as usual”. We recognize the good weather has arrived early, but believe us, there is still lots of
snow on the course. In the meantime, if there was ever a period we need your support it is now.

The golf season is short so if any major delays in our opening, our finances may be stretched, but we will survive. So, if you have not renewed your membership please renew now.
This will contribute to Dufferin’s well being!

The board is committed to communicate with you, by providing regular updates.

We want to send you our best wishes for your continued well-being and please abide by the rules established by the government to help beat this virus.

Regards,
Mike Bresee, (President) and your board of Directors.
